Organization & Cleanup

You are responsible for following the rental contract rules and authorize the studio to charge your card $75 if the door is left unlocked when you depart, if you exceed your rental time, go over the occupancy limit or leave the studio in poor condition.

For clean-up, please make sure the studio looks like it did when you arrived and take out what you bring in — including any hangers, boxes, props, coffee, florals, trash etc…

All provided equipment and furniture must remain in the studio. If any items are missing or damaged during your rental, you will be billed separately for repairs or replacements. We kindly ask that you treat the space with the same care as if it were your own.

The Cyc wall is designed to support weight on the flat surface only—please avoid standing, leaning, or placing any pressure on the curves or walls, as they may crack. When moving items, be sure to lift them rather than drag them to protect the floor.

Additionally, smoking is strictly prohibited in the studio. If we detect any signs of smoking (including smell or residue), a $500 fine will be issued.

  • The Amy Rose Studio is available for rent exclusively for creative purposes, such as professional photoshoots, gallery showings, creative workshops, classes, or intimate networking events for creatives. As this is a professional space dedicated to artistic endeavors, it is not available for personal events such as showers, parties, or other celebrations.

  • We often find that many renters underestimate the amount of time needed, as they’re typically only thinking about the actual “shooting time”. It’s important to also account for unloading car, setting up equipment and props, doing test shots, breaking down equipment/props, cleaning the studio for the next renter, and loading everything back into the car. All of these tasks add up, and we want to ensure you have enough time to comfortably complete your session without feeling rushed.  You can also optimize your time by booking multiple shoots in one session. Additionally, consider incorporating the rental fee into the cost of each shoot to make the most of your booking.

  • Easily explore the space virtually on our Tour page! Please note, as this is a working studio, private tours are not available.

  • For your convenience, there is a loading ramp on the left side of the building if you need to wheel in gear or props. We also have an equipment/prop cart available in the studio for your use. You can temporarily park near the loading area while unloading, then move your car to the right side of the building. Parking is free, and if all spots are taken, there’s an additional lot on the right that is also free and available for parking.

  • No, since the studio is self-accessed, there won’t be anyone on-site during your rental. However, you can contact us if any issues arise, and we’ll be happy to assist you.

  • The studio is equipped with blackout curtains to help block out natural light. However, please note that while they significantly reduce light, the space will not be completely dark.

  • Please note that the studio is located in an old industrial building and is not a sound stage, with high ceilings and is not soundproof. While we've successfully shot video here ourselves and had other videographers use the space, occasional background noise may occur. We recommend bringing sound blankets if sound quality is a concern. That said, we've been able to improve audio during post-production when needed.

  • No, the rental only includes the space and its amenities. Professional photography or videography services are not included.

  • We do not rent equipment.  The studio comes with a base equipment package which includes foba stand, v-flats, c stands, apple boxes, rolling rack, steamer, and two constant lights—FotodioX Pro Warrior Deluxe Daylight 5600K with softboxes.

If any items go missing or damages are incurred during your rental time you will be billed separately to have it fixed and/or replaced. Please treat the space like you own it.

See the studio Highlights and Additional information regarding the furniture provided.

  • The entrance to the building is located at 100 Barber Ave., Worcester, MA 01606.  If using GPS, put in John W. Higgins Amory because there are two buildings.  We are the glass and metal building at the top of the street.

Go through the front door and you can either use the elevator or enter the doorway to the right of the elevator.  Follow the signs and go down two flights of stairs and steer to the right through the double doors.  The studio entrance door is located at the end of this hall.  There is a cart in the studio for your props if you need to unload your car.

You are responsible for letting people in if you plan to have clients coming to the studio during your reservation. There will be a lock box on the outside of the building with a key inside that will give you access to the building during the day of your rental. A bathroom is located just down the hall from the studio (next to the elevator).

  • Yes, but since this is an old industrial building, the studio is not the most efficient. You can open the windows and turn on the ceiling fans.  The heat is uncontrolled and there is an AC unit in the studio to turn on should it get too hot.  The instructions on how to use are attached to the left side of the unit.

  • Please note that the studio is not childproof—children and pets must be supervised at all times. This is a professional space with valuable equipment and furniture. Any damages incurred during your rental will result in a separate charge for repairs or replacements. If you plan to bring pets, they must be approved in advance of your booking.

  • The Bose speaker is located on top of the refrigerator. To use it, connect your phone to the studio’s WiFi (network details can be found on the Hollywood mirror) and sync to "Studio A."

Please be respectful of our neighbors and keep the music to a reasonable level.
